Is Frisbee a sport?

While it started out as a casual hobby, the game eventually leveled up among college students and became a competitive sport. Ultimate Frisbee was founded in 1967 - a hybrid between three famous sports: basketball, football, and soccer.

Similar to these, the game is played by two competing teams whose goal is to throw the disc from their starting point to their end zone on the opposite side of the field. The defense must try to stifle this attempt by intercepting the disc throws while following rules of non-contact sportsmanship.
